Torrington Together 2020
Documenting our Community’s COVID-19 Experience

For the past 76 years, the Torrington Historical Society has been collecting and sharing Torrington’s diverse history. Our community is making history right now as we navigate through these unprecedented times. Please help us create a digital archive by sharing your narrative, photos, artwork, or videos that express what you are experiencing during the current pandemic. Your entries will enable us to document this time in history for future generations and historians. All subject matter must be specific to Torrington.

Types of information we are looking for include:
  • Narrative about how your life has changed. How do you pass the time? What are you experiencing? What are your challenges? What do you miss? What is a pleasant change?
  • Photographs of Torrington scenes, places and people taken during the pandemic
  • Photographs of artwork created during this time
  • A story about an act of kindness that you witnessed or experienced

We ask that you please stay safe in capturing your photos and videos.
Please maintain safe distances and do not put yourself or others in harm’s way.

Please share one (or two) words that best describe how you’re feeling during the pandemic.
(We will create a “word cloud” that shows how Torrington is feeling at this point and time and post it on our Facebook page.)

Please use this space to enter a narrative about your experience
