 Torrington's Immigrant History: The Torrington Mosaic Project

Torrington, Connecticut is a city of immigrants and their descendants. People from all over the world built the city of Torrington and continue to add to its vibrant culture. 

The "Torrington Mosaic" project is a collaborative effort of students from Northwestern Connecticut Community College (NCCC) and the Torrington Historical Society. Its purpose is to document and celebrate the diveristy of the immigrants who have chosen to call Torrington home. The mission of the "Torrington Mosaic" project is to serve as an online place where neighbors of various ethnic backgrounds can get to know and understand one another, thus building a stronger community.

The link provided will connect you to short interviews with immigrants from Torrington, Connecticut. These interviews were collected by students from Northwestern Connecticut Community College as part of an on-going community action project conducted by NCCC Team Success Scholars.
